SUSPECTS IN MANHUNT CAPTURED

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, San Angelo Police Department, and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the 800 block of US Hwy 87 South in reference to a gunshot victim.  The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center.  Witnesses on scene stated a Hispanic female and black male were seen running north from incident into a wooded area.  A perimeter was established, and a ground search was initiated. 

Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, San Angelo Police K9 and Drone units, and Texas Department of Public Safety ground and aircraft units all assisted in the search.  After 9 hours of searching and exhausting all possible leads, the search was terminated.

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Deputies responded to 700 block of Fair View School Road in reference to suspicious circumstances.  Once on scene, they observed the two subjects running south, towards the grand canal.  The female subject was taken into custody on scene.  She was identified as Gloria Jaramillo, 36.  Jaramillo has been charged with Evading Arrest / Detention.  After another lengthy manhunt, the male subject was taken into custody.  He was identified Michael Pacheco, 37.  Michael Pacheco was charged with a murder warrant out of New Mexico.  Additional charges of will be forthcoming.

All subjects are in custody and there is no longer a threat to the community.  The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the San Angelo Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Homeland Security Investigations for their assistance in this case.  This investigation remains active.
