SHERIFF'S OFFICE PARTNERS WITH HOME DEPOT TO ASSIST CITIZEN DURING FREEZE

Date Posted: 01/16/2024

On Monday, January 15, 2024, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Home Depot after they received a call from an elderly customer stating her heater was not working and her skin was starting to hurt.  Sheriff Deputies responded to conduct a welfare check and met with the elderly female.  Shortly after, Deputies coordinated with Home Depot management, who graciously donated space heaters and other supplies to the cause.  Deputies picked up all supplies and responded back to the residence where they installed the heaters and made minor needed repairs to make sure the citizen was safe and warm.

Thank you to the staff at Home Depot for letting us know about the situation and for assisting our citizen in need.  This is yet another example of why our West Texas community spirit is such an amazing thing to witness.  Take care of each other and be safe.
