SHERIFF'S OFFICE ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS
At approximately 9:30 AM this morning the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office held a promotional ceremony in the Commissioners Courtroom.
The ceremony kicked off with a greeting by Chief Roger Looka, followed by a prayer from County Judge Lane Carter. Lieutenant Bill Kirkland then led the US and Texas Pledge.
Sheriff Hanna followed with a speech regarding seizing the opportunities for growth and advancement stating together we will build a legacy of excellence, integrity, and service.
Sergeant Nick Hammer was recognized for a job well done by the FBI regarding a criminal investigation conducted with leads from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that resulted in the arrest of a child predator in San Antonio.
Two new employees were introduced. Estella Rivera-Sauceda, Forensic Specialist and Sherry Guevara, Administrative Assistant/Crime Analyst.
Chasin Deaton, Fernando Renteria, and Ron Sanders were recognized for being promoted to Jail Corporal.
Michael Crawford was recognized for being promoted to Patrol Corporal - A Shift.
Steven Diaz was recognized for being promoted to Patrol Corporal - C Shift.
Elena Tellez was recognized for being promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Mental Health Unit.
