PURSUIT RESULTS IN ARREST OF HARRIS COUNTY ROBBERY SUSPECT
On December 22, 2024, at approximately 6:49 pm a Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputy was at the end of his shift and driving to his residence. He was traveling westbound on West Beauregard Avenue when a vehicle, traveling on South Tyler Street unsafely went through the intersection, nearly striking another vehicle, with the Deputy directly behind witnessing it. The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the vehicle evaded.
After a short pursuit through the surrounding neighborhood, the vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and South Fillmore Street. The driver, later identified as Isiah Aguilera (19 YOA) of Houston, exited the vehicle and evaded on foot. Two female passengers also exited the vehicle and began leaving the area while Aguilera was pursued.
Aguilera jumped several fences and was able to briefly hide. A perimeter was set and during the search, Aguilera again attempted to evade on foot but was caught and taken into custody with the assistance of San Angelo Police Department.
Aguilera had an active warrant out of Harris County for Robbery, as well as a caution flag for a history of evading law enforcement.
Deputies later located both females who exited the vehicle at a residence nearby, where they were identified and interviewed. Aguilera was booked into the Tom Green County Jail for the following charges: Evading Arrest Detention with Vehicle, Evading Arrest Detention, and the Harris County Robbery warrant.
