Drug Arrest and Seizure
On Thursday, January 10, 2019, at approximately 2 pm members of the Tom Green County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division along with the Warrant Division initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 Chevy Envoy for a traffic violation at the intersection of Culwell and N. Baze in Tom Green County. The investigators observed the vehicle being operated by Andrew Scott Perez whom they knew was wanted on a warrant for a Parole Violation issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole. Subsequent to the arrest, the vehicle was inventoried prior to the vehicle being impounded. During the inventory of the vehicle, deputies found approximately three and one quarter pounds of methamphetamine and $7,100.00 in U.S. currency in the passenger compartment of the vehicle along with evidence consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine.
Andrew Scott Perez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County jail. Perez is charged with Parole Violation and Manufacturing and Delivery of a Control Substance PG1>= 400G.
