Police Search for Suspects in Double Homicide on Rio Grande Street

San Angelo Police Department Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two men who were shot and killed at a residence Monday night.

Officers were dispatched to the residence in the 1000 block of Rio Grande around 10:30 p.m. for the report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, Officers located two (2) 28-year-old males inside the residence, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The men were transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance and later pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace, Judge Eddie Howard. Autopsies have been ordered. Their identities are not being released at this time.

Several detectives from the Department's Criminal Investigations Division, Street Crimes Unit, and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and process the scene for evidence. Investigators canvassed the area and conducted multiple interviews.
