The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would like to extend an invitation to our community for a special flag-raising ceremony to kick off police week.    This ceremony will focus on honoring the men and women who have fallen in the line of duty.    

This event will take place Monday, May 13, 2024, starting at 9:00 A.M., in the East parking lot of the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, 222 W. Harris Ave, San Angelo, TX 76903.

The ceremony will include Opening prayer, proclamation reading by County Judge Lane Carter, Presentation of Colors by the San Angelo Police Department and Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, Reading of the Names by Sheriff Nick Hanna, guest speakers Texas Ranger Major Wayne Matthews with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Congressman August Pfluger. This event will conclude with the Presentation of Arms and the playing of TAPPS. We are confident it will be a memorable and meaningful event for all attendees.
